I seriously doubt this is possible. The players 'reads only' from the card. You cannot transfer programming information from the card to the player. Were this possible, the Fuze and the 'E' series v2 models would already be 'Rockboxable'. Das Geraet wurde in den USA gekauft, hat aber am europaeischen Stromnetz noch laengere Zeit einwandfrei funktioniert. Ich habe schon alle moegliche Seiten abgesucht doch ich fand nicht ansatzweise einen Post ueber ein zumindest aehnliches Problem. Ich hoffe ihr koennt mir helfen oder Tipps geben was ich bei der Loesung ausprobieren koennte. Ich werde versuchen das Problem moeglichst genau zu umschreiben. Windows 8 war schon vorinstalliert und die ersten Monate lang funktionierte alles super, doch dann hoerte Windows im Desktopmodus ploetzlich fast ganz auf auf den Touchscreen zu reagieren, im Startmenue tut nach wie vor alles prima. Ich liste mal auf was sich im Desktopmodus noch per Touch steuern laesst: - Runter- und Hochscrollen sowie Vergroessern und Verkleinern z.B. Im Browser oder in Dokumenten - Unten rechts in der Leiste die Datumsanzeige laesst sich noch durch antippen oeffnen, zeitweise liess sich auch die Bildschirmtastatur noch per Touch aufrufen, doch seit einiger Zeit geht auch das nicht mehr.

Das Schliessen funktioniert aber nicht. Aehnlich sieht es mit den Maximieren- und Minimierenbuttons aus. Ansonsten funktioniert nichts mehr, es lassen sich keine Programme oeffnen, die Suchleiste kann nicht mehr durch wischen von rechts eingeblendet werden etc. Manchmal ist im Bildschirmittelpunkt auch ein Touchkreis sichtbar, so als ob dort beruehrt wird. Teils ist anstatt des Kreise ein Viereck sichtbar, so also ab man beruehren und dann halten wuerde, um z.B.
Ein Menue zu oeffnen. In beiden Faellen ist auch die Maus im Bildschirmmittelpunkt fixiert und immer sichtbar, wenn ich dann das Touchpad benutze und z.B. Die Maus nach rechts bewege ist sie nur solange blinkend zu sehen wie ich den Finger auf dem Touchpad bewege.
Danach geht sie scheinbar wieder zurueck zum Bildschirmmittelpunkt, ist aber unsichtbar noch an der Stelle, wo ich sie zuletzt hinbewegt habe, das sieht man aber erst bei der naechsten Bewegung wieder. Kreis, Viereck und fixierte Maus treten jedoch nicht immer auf, ob Kreis oder Viereck und ob ueberhaupt eines davon sichtbar ist aendert sich nach jedem Neustart. Nach dem Aufklappen des Laptops muss der Lockbildschirm oft mit viel mehr Swipes als sonst hochgezogen werden, es wirkt regelrecht so als wuerde er irgendwo haken.
Fuer das Touchpad habe ich mal einen anderen Treiber installiert, das war allerdings Monate bevor die Probleme auftauchten. Bevor die Probleme auftrate habe ich auch sonst keine Treiber aktualisiert, was ich jedoch nicht ausschliessen kann, ist das Windows Update Sachen installiert hat. Auf dem Laptop ist an Programmen Firefox, Avira, Spybot SD, OpenOffice und natuerlich einige Apps installiert. This is what I tried to restore my phone1. I tried resetting several times by pressing the sleep + home button.2. I removed the SIM card and put it back in3. Tried removing the screen guard to check if that had any effect4.
Tried restoring from itunes backup (it recognises the phone) but wants me to turn off the 'find my iphone' feature.I then called my India support and there an awesome lady Swapna Shinde understood my issue gave me the following instructions to revive my phone:1. Hold sleep + home till phone shuts down2. Open up your itunes (latest ver) and connect the USB end to your PC/laptop3. Hold the Home button and simultaneously insert the other end of the connector (the narrow end) into the phone4.
Phone goes into Restore mode5. Follow instructions on itunes which will then proceed to download the latest version of iOS and install it6. Hopefully you have the latest backup on itunes which you can now restore7.
Ideally your phone has been revived and you are looking for that bottle of ChampagneIf this does not work then I guess a trip to the Apple Service center is needed.Hope this helped. We should be hounding Gateway/Acer because after tech support has been contacted they a) sound like this is a total surprise and b) have no timeframe for release (assuming there will be an update). Their answer is to just keep checking their website and refusing to take email addresses and inform their customers when they have the driver.
To me, this is really bad support. I have escalated the problem up two levels of support and never got a solution but at least someone who promised to notify me when they hear of a solution. If this will happen is yet to be seen. I can't even find a Gateway support forum to complain on. I seriously doubt this is possible. The players 'reads only' from the card. You cannot transfer programming information from the card to the player. Were this possible, the Fuze and the 'E' series v2 models would already be 'Rockboxable'. One could simply copy the Rockbox files onto the card, insert it and the player would intitate the different firmware and load the Rockbox program whenever the card was in place.

Das Geraet wurde in den USA gekauft, hat aber am europaeischen Stromnetz noch laengere Zeit einwandfrei funktioniert. Ich habe schon alle moegliche Seiten abgesucht doch ich fand nicht ansatzweise einen Post ueber ein zumindest aehnliches Problem. Ich hoffe ihr koennt mir helfen oder Tipps geben was ich bei der Loesung ausprobieren koennte. Ich werde versuchen das Problem moeglichst genau zu umschreiben. Windows 8 war schon vorinstalliert und die ersten Monate lang funktionierte alles super, doch dann hoerte Windows im Desktopmodus ploetzlich fast ganz auf auf den Touchscreen zu reagieren, im Startmenue tut nach wie vor alles prima. Ich liste mal auf was sich im Desktopmodus noch per Touch steuern laesst: - Runter- und Hochscrollen sowie Vergroessern und Verkleinern z.B. Im Browser oder in Dokumenten - Unten rechts in der Leiste die Datumsanzeige laesst sich noch durch antippen oeffnen, zeitweise liess sich auch die Bildschirmtastatur noch per Touch aufrufen, doch seit einiger Zeit geht auch das nicht mehr.
Ist die Displaytastatur aber erstmal mit dem TouchPAD aufgerufen, laesst sie sich einwandfrei per Touch bedienen - Etwas merkwuerdig: der rote Schliessen-Button aendert bei Beruehren seine Farbe von hellem Rot in Dunkelrot und bleibt dann in der Farbe bis ich ihn nochmal beruehre. Das Schliessen funktioniert aber nicht. Aehnlich sieht es mit den Maximieren- und Minimierenbuttons aus. Ansonsten funktioniert nichts mehr, es lassen sich keine Programme oeffnen, die Suchleiste kann nicht mehr durch wischen von rechts eingeblendet werden etc. Manchmal ist im Bildschirmittelpunkt auch ein Touchkreis sichtbar, so als ob dort beruehrt wird. Teils ist anstatt des Kreise ein Viereck sichtbar, so also ab man beruehren und dann halten wuerde, um z.B.
Ein Menue zu oeffnen. In beiden Faellen ist auch die Maus im Bildschirmmittelpunkt fixiert und immer sichtbar, wenn ich dann das Touchpad benutze und z.B. Die Maus nach rechts bewege ist sie nur solange blinkend zu sehen wie ich den Finger auf dem Touchpad bewege.
Danach geht sie scheinbar wieder zurueck zum Bildschirmmittelpunkt, ist aber unsichtbar noch an der Stelle, wo ich sie zuletzt hinbewegt habe, das sieht man aber erst bei der naechsten Bewegung wieder. Kreis, Viereck und fixierte Maus treten jedoch nicht immer auf, ob Kreis oder Viereck und ob ueberhaupt eines davon sichtbar ist aendert sich nach jedem Neustart. Nach dem Aufklappen des Laptops muss der Lockbildschirm oft mit viel mehr Swipes als sonst hochgezogen werden, es wirkt regelrecht so als wuerde er irgendwo haken.
Fuer das Touchpad habe ich mal einen anderen Treiber installiert, das war allerdings Monate bevor die Probleme auftauchten. Bevor die Probleme auftrate habe ich auch sonst keine Treiber aktualisiert, was ich jedoch nicht ausschliessen kann, ist das Windows Update Sachen installiert hat. Auf dem Laptop ist an Programmen Firefox, Avira, Spybot SD, OpenOffice und natuerlich einige Apps installiert. This is what I tried to restore my phone1. I tried resetting several times by pressing the sleep + home button.2. I removed the SIM card and put it back in3. Tried restoring from itunes backup (it recognises the phone) but wants me to turn off the 'find my iphone' feature.I then called my India support and there an awesome lady Swapna Shinde understood my issue gave me the following instructions to revive my phone:1. Hold sleep + home till phone shuts down2. Open up your itunes (latest ver) and connect the USB end to your PC/laptop3. Hold the Home button and simultaneously insert the other end of the connector (the narrow end) into the phone4.
Phone goes into Restore mode5. Follow instructions on itunes which will then proceed to download the latest version of iOS and install it6. Hopefully you have the latest backup on itunes which you can now restore7.

We should be hounding Gateway/Acer because after tech support has been contacted they a) sound like this is a total surprise and b) have no timeframe for release (assuming there will be an update). Their answer is to just keep checking their website and refusing to take email addresses and inform their customers when they have the driver.
To me, this is really bad support. I have escalated the problem up two levels of support and never got a solution but at least someone who promised to notify me when they hear of a solution.
