The best way is to buy the real tone cable and use a direct box to split the signal and connect an amplifier. You'll have to create your own tones which will be great for your development as a musician. I got to use the Roland Duo Capture Ex to play Rocksmith (with the new update) and it was great. Not to stat anything But thats your PC not the Cable;-) Lag probably could be minimized to an acceptable level through tweaking the setup. Can be a pita but worth it in the end. You just have to accept that it works best the way it was designed to work not the way you want it to work.
Nothing wrong with playing through your own amp though if that's what floats your trem.
