I know it's not really the place to ask, but considering how this is more alive than other Quake subreddits, I wondered if anyone knew what I needed for defrag. I've tried other guides but they just didn't quite work as I couldn't get maps running and the resolution was stuck at 4:3 which is annoying. Also mouse sensitivity is basically impossible to set up for me. So would anyone mind to introduce me a bit to what I need and how to set everything up?
Download gmail hack software. As it posses everything you need on hacking a Gmail email account. You do not need any coding skills just to hack gmail accounts.

Do I need to purchase Q3A on Steam? I already had a (I guess cracked?) copy of Q3A on my harddrive but that hasn't worked. Considering buying Q3A just for defrag, but I've been wondering if I need it or if I can make due with QL. Hello, You don't need to buy Quake 3 to play defrag, you just need pak0-8.pk3 files, defrag mod, and a client (there are multiple clients available and all free). You should copy the pak0-8.pk3 files from the Quake3 CD or buy Q3 on steam and install the game.
The client (the best one in my opinion and frequently updated) can be downloaded and defrag can be downloaded. You put the pak files into the 'baseq3' folder, unpack the defrag in to the 'defrag' folder and the client in the parent directory. The folder structure should look like this: Quake3/ baseq3/ pak0.pk3 pak1.pk3. Dfclient.exe defrag/ That's basically it. Now you just need to configure all the settings to fit your preferences. If you would like some help with the defrag-specific commands, check out the defrag/docs/ folder, visit the q3df.org Wiki or find me on discord (link below).
Theres always someone to help on discord or on the servers. Thank you so much! It was really easy to follow and get to work. Finally got it running smoothly. The only thing I haven't been able to figure out yet are the maps, don't know where to put them to make the game recognize them. Whenever I click any of the 'Defrag.'
Buttons, no maps show up except the ones belonging to VQ3. Put them on defrag/misc/maps and defrag/misc/pk3 but to no avail. Either way, thanks a lot! I'll be on the defrag discord, I go by 'Rubbun'. Edit: was scared to try putting the maps in 'baseq3' but apparently it was there.
